k3

(k3 screenshot)

Description

k3 displays the memory available on Linux as a percentage, MB free, and a simple bar chart.

k3 is incredibly ancient (dating back to 1993, when dinosaurs ruled the earth :-)) and not earth-shatteringly important - but since I do still use the thing after all these years, I still maintain it.

2024-01-31 update - the man page currently features a free spot-the-typo competition. It's a fun one.

Download

The current version is 1.6, here as k3-1.6.tar.gz.

Changes

Version 1.6 shows sizes in MB rather than KB (despite the name) with a more sensible variable-width display, and now uses intmax_t to fix previous errors with large RAM/swap sizes.
